What is a power couple?
One definition is a couple both of whom have high-powered careers or are politically influential. But is that the totality because that eliminates the everyday people. Another definition is in a power couple, if one person is flawed, the other person makes up for their weaknesses in strength. Together they are the epitome of what anyone would desire in a relationship. They encourage goodness in the world and make it a better place by being together. And in this, I find myself applying it to Melissa + Carlton.
Are they high powered? Most definitely, both are influential in what they do. Politically influential? Without a doubt Carlton is. But that isn’t what makes them power. I am of the belief that the connections between two in love outweighs the influence on the world. Take two people in a marriage who are politically powerful. In most cases it can seem like an arranged marriage as you often wonder do they even care for each other, or just love the idea of the other person and knows it is good for their career. That is not a power couple.
Luckily, Melissa + Carlton do not embody this.
Epitome of what anyone could desire in a relationship. That exemplifies The Miller’s the most. When reading a letter yields the same emotional response in both. When seeing each other for the first time journeying to become husband and wife brings up the same emotions. And while everyone witnessing can feel the exact same emotion, and share it with them, that is power that influences, inspires, and ignites. And THAT is what Melissa + Carlton put on display during their occasion of love.
So what is a power couple? The Miller’s are a power couple.
