Normally, I cringe at the idea of meeting clients for the first time during a session. I am a highly personable and animated person. I like to meet and establish a connection in advance so that I don’t come off as “that weird guy”. I am also cautious when I hear a client say they want to do something vintage for their look. Many truly do not know what that means, and as a result I usually have to adjust their vision or guide it more to fit what they really want and mean.
Those fears and doubts were quickly alleviated when meeting this couple.
DeShara stepped out first, with a true pinup skirt, with just the right splash of the right color in accessories…RED! Followed by Channing, with a distinguished ensemble of bow tie and suspenders, with handkerchief and 20’s swing wingtip shoes. I instantly looked at them and saw they raised the bar on expectations, and the rest was on me to bring the vision to life. And that was the easy part. We did just that on the rood of the Shaw Center.
But that was only the beginning as they had more in store.
You often hear people saying that they can switch up the styles perfectly, but these two definitely proved it. For their second look they wanted something more urban. street, edgier, so we found an art district in Downtown Baton Rouge and created art among the art. And by the end, passersby couldn’t help but stop and admire our creations.
And now you can too
