Devionne and J are not your typical couple.
Sure, they love each other. That’s an ingredient in every relationship. Yes, they care for each other, desire each other, and protect each other (though Devionne does more of protecting her own pockets while sacrificing his, but I digress), but again…that is what’s supposed to be present. What separates them is their core. See, their foundation remains weighted in God, and they are equally supportive in that. But what defines them, what makes them and actually keeps them, is their pursuit of fun and enjoyment in each other.
Everybody has fun and likes to entertain their spouse, so what’s so different about them? Well, when I say fun, I mean FUN! Not the this-is-the-life-people-enjoy-so-I-have-to-post-on-social-media-hashtag-cheesy fun, but the we will be silly, and I WILL get on your last nerves silly. Not only that, they don’t hide it, or leave it private. It’s who they are. It’s what they love about each other, and as a result, it’s what you can’t help but love about them.
And that is exactly what their marriage showcased.
It wasn’t an affair of pure love and romance. That’s cute and all, but that’s not them. From the ceremony, to the reception, even all the way to the end of the night, for the Butlers it was all about how many different ways can I make you laugh. The only serious moments were them getting serious with me for trying to seriously give them instructions (but I did it anyways). By the end of the night, even the parents had given up on holding back, and everyone let themselves partake in the most unconventional fun.
Love is what you make it. And the Butlers make it as entertaining as possible.
