Braving the weather has been a consistent theme this summer.
Especially in August, the peak of the summer sun, yet scattered showers are also on the menu, it is almost unbearable to do anything. Almost. When Robin contacted me to do her engagements on a hot weekday, I knew I was going to have to tough it out. I began thinking about our relationship and our history, and it made that decision easier. From the moment she contacted me with interest in photographing her wedding she was enthusiastic, open to all suggestions, and determined to have me, not the company but ME tell her love story. She has remained ecstatic with all my visions, and consistently sent reminders of how she could not wait until it was her turn in front the camera. So in considering all that, I decided it was little to nothing to bear a little heat and a lot of sweat just to see her smile.
We met at the Louisiana State Capital, and both Derin and Robin actually beat me there. They were eager to see my direction, which was actually quite simple: show me why you fell in love. Derin eager to see his love smile, Robin with her enthusiasm, both connected in ways that made it easy to showcase their love, and create a perfect engagement session. Even the heat couldn’t deter us from moments, though it did try, nothing could stop them from being close to each other, in tuned with each other.
Louisiana summers ARE hot…but a Louisiana love is much hotter.
